Development of the Role Playing Program for the Motivational Enhancement to Alcoholic Inpatients

Abstract
The aim of this study is to develop a role playing program for the motivational enhancement to alcoholic inpatients. This program is constructed by action method of psychodrama and sociometry. The program has 6 sessions and the duration of each session is for 90 minutes. This program is divided with 3 part, warming up, role playing, sharing. The 1st session`s title is "Am I alcoholic?" This session is for consciousness raising by sociometric`s method, spectrogram and locogram. The 2nd session is ``the alcohol`s harmful effects to me`` This is also for consciousness raising by evaluation of harmful effects to my health, family, social activities by sociometric`s method. The title of 3rd session is ``the past, the present, the future``. This session is to reevaluate the self. This program uses three empty chair, symbolizing present, past, future. The 4th session is to reevaluate the family and self and experience emotional relief. This session also uses empty chair and the participants meet their family member. The 5th session is to evaluate his big three role. This helps reevaluate his role and family`s attitude to him. The last session is ``near-death experience`` The participants make their will and enter the coffin to experience dramatic emotional arousal.
